Elevators, hotel lobbys etc are also good ideas.

The usage for DJs could be an easier accessible field, though. Those guys already hang out on the Net a lot and work directly with computers. For them to download a cool plugin is as natural as buying a bag of apples.

There is a bunch of DJ software being used out there. U could check out these, among others:

Traktor (native-instruments.com)
virtualdj.com?mixvibes.com?pcdj.com
mixmeister.com
CuBase
Reason
alcatech.com
Also check out: http://www.djstore.co.uk/cgi-bin/group.pl?group=software

For some of those you can dl trial versions.

Thanks for sharing your ideas, they are a bit similar to some ideas I have had, but my ideas were a bit more "boring". I thought it could be used as background music for elevators, hotel lobbies, waiting cues in telephones, etc.

But your idea about DJs is interesting, since it involves the program in an art form (as I would call it).

Bolo! HomePage

Min mail nedan.

Interesting site, and nice that you have a guestbook now. It would be even better though, imho, if one can access the guestbook from the first page. It may be hard to find it otherwise.

I think there could be an interest amongst DJs, especially in the trance/ambient genre, to incorporate some of these "random music" elements in their live performances. It seems like this kind of music comes in a flavor of it's own, if you know what I mean.

Why not make your algorithms into some sound module that they can play live? They anyway work a lot with computers right on stage nowadays, and their music mainly consists of loops and stuff that they mix on the spot. I believe it could sound rather neat to suddenly let a "loop" of random music act. They could even mix it with live music, and get interesting effects.

You could find out which technology these folks use and create some software that fits their way of working. There is a steadily growing scene of very interesting experimental music happening in psy-trance and ambient club music, on raves etc.

You could even allow the DJ to manipulate certain parameters, like RPM (the beat, important, since that is how they mix it with other loops), the key of course, maybe types of instruments, amount of instruments, and more subtle things like timbre and moods.

Then sell that thing right from your site. I think you can make some money on it. I would do it myself if I was a programmer.

Hi everyone, and thanks for your interest in Randomusic.

I am very interested in feedback from you all. So please write something here in my guestbook. What do you think about the music? Any ideas for improvement?

Have a good day!
